Weapons & Armor
01
Overview
Weapons and armor are essential pieces of equipment for all wargs that engage in combat, whether that be Player vs Player (PvP) or Player vs Environment (PvE). Hvalla has a variety of gear with different benefits and abilities to help make sure your character has the best chance possible to win their fight. Detailed information about your weapons and armor can be found in their item descriptions in the shop, or in the HvallaAdmin account on DeviantArt.
Our armor and weapons selection will continue to grow as beta-testing progresses.

Weapons
Weapons deal damage against your opponent. There are both ranged (bows, slingshots, etc.) and melee (swords, axes, etc.) weapons. Each weapon has different effects and inflicts different amounts of damage. Some weapons may have stat or level requirements that a character must meet in order to wield them.
In addition to their randomly rolled damage dice, weapons also add additional damage depending on their type.
For melee weapons, half a character’s strength score is added to their damage , or ⅓ for mages), rounded down.
For ranged weapons, half the character’s agility score is added to their damage , or ⅓ for mages), rounded down.

Armor
Armor helps protect your character against attacks and makes them more difficult to hit. There are two classes of armor: open and restricted. Open armor means that the armor can be worn by any warg, of any race, level or class. Restricted armor may have stat, class or level requirements that a character must meet in order to wear them.
Armor Class
Armor affects your Armor Class or AC on your character’s stat sheet. Each race has a certain amount of “natural armor,” or what their AC would be when they have no armor equipped. Icewarg have a natural armor of 7, Stonewarg have a natural armor of 6, and Woodwarg have the lowest natural armor of 5.
Each character has four slots to equip armor (head, body, shoulders, and legs), and you are free to mix and match any pieces your character is able to use, though some armor sets provide a “set bonus” or additional protection when you have all four pieces equipped at once.
Accessory Slots
Each character has four slots to equip accessories (head, body, shoulders, and legs). Accessories can provide different bonuses and can be equipped and unequipped as you desire. Some accessories are bound to the character and cannot be bought or sold.
