Clan Origins
Clan Wildflame found its beginning in the unwavering spirit and boundless curiosity of a visionary warg named Solfrid, renowned as the first Stonewarg to successfully tame the wild, untamed nature of fire. Driven by insatiable curiosity and an indomitable determination to unveil the enigmatic secrets hidden deep within Jotunheim, Solfrid embarked on a solitary expedition that would change the course of history. While traversing the most desolate and unforgiving reaches of Jotunheim's wilderness, a peculiar and surreal sight greeted her eyes—an ethereal, mesmerizing trail of small, azure flames flickering amidst a relentless blizzard. These enchanting flames led her to a concealed cavern, nestled amidst the towering peaks of an ancient, long-dormant caldera.
Venturing further into the abyss, she discovered an underground chamber bathed in the radiance of an unearthly light. At its very heart lay the object that would forever alter the destiny of the Stonewarg clans. There, resting upon a pedestal of solid stone, was the Sacred Ember. A resplendent, living flame, it flickered with hues of red, gold, and blue, and it emitted a gentle warmth that belied its incredible power. As Solfrid approached, the ember beckoned to her very soul, recognizing her as its chosen guardian. In that revelatory moment, the ember whispered ancient prophecies and stories to Solfrid, passing on the knowledge of how to tend to its sacred fire and safeguard it for the generations to come. An unbreakable bond formed between the warg and the ember, and Solfrid's return to her people heralded the dawn of a new era. The word of her discovery quickly spread throughout the Stonewarg clans, turning Solfrid into a beacon of inspiration for all. Her ability to manipulate fire was unparalleled, and she shared her knowledge with those who sought to harness its power, leading to the creation of Clan Wildflame and its revered Flamekeepers. These Flamekeepers, serving as the spiritual compass of Clan Wildflame and empowered by the Sacred Ember itself, bore the solemn duty of tending to the clan's eternal fire, affectionately named "Varmstråle." To this day the Sacred Ember stands as the central hearth of Clan Wildflame.

Clan Culture & Values
Responsible for lighting the fires within Wargun, all Wildflame clan members carry a piece of the sacred ember Varmstråle within a ceremonial horn. This ember is used in various traditional functions and is used to re-light the lanterns that are used to communicate between the watchtowers lining the rim of the Caldera. A long-standing tradition passed down from the time before the rise of the First Kings and their cities, Wildflame Flamekeepers were responsible for maintaining the fires that protected the clans and they would carry the ember from the previous camp and use it to ignite the fires at the next. To become a member of the Wildflame Clan, a warg must carry a sacred ember to the Frostkeep and light the pyre located there.
Bloodstones
Bloodstones are made of amber with softly glowing orange runes. The amber is said to hold a piece of ember from the sacred flame, eternally burning inside the stone. Stones with insects or plants frozen inside are said to be particularly lucky.
Courting
Wildflame has a somewhat unusual courting ritual– fire breathing. While using one’s ember from the sacred flame is highly frowned upon in these types of endeavors, more than one Wildflame clan member has attempted it in a pinch (and lost some fur on their face for their indescretion). While it is impressive if suitors actually manage to succeed in an impressive fiery display, it is more tantamount that the warg attempts it and doesn’t chicken out– more of a display of courage and fortitude over anything else. This is more of a playful attempt at courting than anything serious, akin to tying knots into cherry stems, but hotter (literally).
Death Rites
Wildflame generally burn their dead, often with their own ember from the sacred flame. In the event the deceased warg’s own ember has been extinguished, another will offer their own. It is considered a great gift to burn a clanmember’s body with their ember. Afterwards, the warg who gave their ember will embark on a special journey to the sacred flame to obtain another. The spirit of the deceased warg is said to travel with them, in their debt to protect them until they are able to reach the sacred flame once more before they are able to move on to the Helgafjell. To bury one’s dead is to imprison the soul in the earth and only the worst of the worst are sentenced to this fate by Wildflame.

Clan Festivals & Events
Jarl Naming
New Jarl namings in Wildflame are always a large and fantastic affair. Events start just after sunset. The clan gathers in mass to the sacred flame where the Jarl will light a lantern with the sacred fire, passing the lantern to another clan member, walking with them towards the clan hall. Along the way, the lantern carrier will light another lantern held by another warg and their journey will end wild the new jarl walks with them to the next lantern on and on until a large line of lanterns lay behind them and the jarl takes the lantern at the clan’s hall to light the hearth within. The jarl chooses who will carry each lantern and how those warg perform is a reflection on the new Jarl’s judgment. If a lantern were to ever extinguish during the procession, it is said to foretell the jarl will meet a grizzly and untimely end at the hands of the one who carried the lantern. This superstition was born when a lantern carried by Jarl Havardr’s brother went out during a sudden rainstorm, who later went on to kill Havardr in the crucible after a family dispute.
Thane Naming
The heart of the Thane ceremony for Wildflame actually occurs without the thane. The Jarl of the clan hand selects their most skilled clan members to craft a new lantern for the thane’s house. These lanterns are often large and intricately detailed, sometimes taking weeks to complete. To be selected to craft the thane’s lanterns in a great honor. Once the lantern is completed, a surprise feast is held at the thane’s house! The guests simply arrive with food and music, and of course. The lantern is then presented to their unsuspecting host, who then lights the lantern with their ember from the sacred flame and the festivities begin! The lantern is often left on the house even when the thane passes as an honor to their memory.
