Clan Origins
Home City: The East Spire in the Eastern woods
The capital clan city of the Eik-Saer was another massive tree-city in the Eastern Woods of Alfheim, named the East Spire. Eik-Saer often considered the East Spire to be a sister-city to Ljosa and the two enjoyed constant trade. Eik-Saer reliably have clan halls in every major city and their clanfolk were scattered throughout the settlements of Alfheim, tend to congregate together or with Forra-Yr with whom marriages were common.
The Eik-Saer Clan was founded in 2A by a warg named Elloor. Light and noble he was called Deer-friend by his kin, said to have made an ally of a Cervi Stag after he saved the beast’s life. He took a wife, Anathela the same year who became his second and together they formed their clan. The Cervi Stag owed Elloor a life debt that was never repaid, for when again he protected a Cervi Doe against the jaws of an Eldrbruin, this time, his life was lost. In 247A leadership of the clan transferred to Anathela and the Eik-Saer Clan continued.
A Short History of Highwarg
Elloor the Deer-Friend || Founding Highwarg Eloor was killed in 247 by an Eldrbruin and was succeeded by his wife Anathela as Highwarg
Anathela the Just || Anathela who had served as Senwarg from 2A-247A, became Highwarg upon the death of her husband and served until her death during the Civil War at the Second Battle of the Witchwood in 460A
Massutha the Kind || Massutha who had served as Senwarg from 247-460A succeeded Anathela as Highwarg and saw the Eik-Saer through the remainder of the Civil War and into the Fenrir War. They were killed in an assault against the Children of Fenrir near the Ice Path in 584A.
Cadfael the Learned || Cadfael succeeded Massutha as Highwarg in 584A due to his actions in the field during the Fenrir War. He was gravely injured in a skirmish on the Jotunheim border at Iskall and died in 701A.
Kileea the Careful || Kileea succeeded Massutha as Senwarg and served throughout the remainder of the Civil War and throughout the Fenrir War until 701A when she became Highwarg. Kileea abdicated her position as Highwarg in favour of Nekelloth in 705A. She was last seen in the East Spire of the Eastern Woods before the Cataclysm.
Nekelloth || Nekelloth served as Senwarg of the Eik-Saer from 701A-705A, before taking her Grandmother’s place as Highwarg that year and challenging Njarlrissa for the position of Archmage. She continues to serve as Archmage of the Woodwarg and Highwarg of the Eik-Saer.

Clan Politics
Auona-Modr Clan
Status: Allies
The Auona-Modr are considered somewhat peculiar by the Eik-Saer. Their seeming morbidity is somewhat repellant, however there is a historical alliance between the two clans that continues in an unwavering truce to this day.
Bjarkin-Kind Clan
Status: Enemies
There is low-level historical animosity with this clan that has only compounded and been brought to the fore since the defeat of Njarlissa and ascension of Nekelloth. The Eik-Saer do not care for the wargs of Bjarkan-Kind.
Forra-Yr Clan
Status: Allies
Historically, Eik-Saer served Havardr when the warg was First King, and enjoyed the learning he encouraged for the Woodwarg. Ties with the Forra-Yr are close and unsullied, despite their opposing sides during the Blood Years of the Woodwarg Civil War.
Myrkr-Auga Clan
Status: Neutral
The Eik-Saer have an unreciprocated fascination with the Myrkr-Auga. Always on opposing sides during the Civil War, the Eik-Saer are certain this clan holds secrets it is unwilling to part with. The Eik-Saer believe Tieve’s actions should have been scruitinised more closely following the war, and while Ossolé is valued for her wisdom, they are certain she and her kin know more than what they let on.
Lae-Daudr Clan
Status: Neutral-Enemy
The Eik-Saer do not forget the blood Gísla had upon her paws during the Civil War, despite the good she did after it and they recognise the wargs of this clan as formidable, unchangeable opponents. Due to the close ties the Lae-Daudr share with the wargs of Bjarkan-Kind, the Eik-Saer do not fully trust this clan.
Eldi-Stokkir Clan
Status: Neutral
The Eik-Saer hold a historical truce with the Eldi-Stokkir that continues to this day. They fought side by side during the Blood and Waning years of the Woodwarg Civil War, but do not hold the clan in much esteem. The martyrdom of Aileas is considered wasteful and while their truce holds, it is no alliance.

Clan Festivals & Events
Initiation
To become a fully fledged member of the Eik-Saer Clan, you must spend a night in the Glade of Cervi. There are many ‘Glades of Cervi’ scattered throughout Alfheim as small shrines to the deer who make kinship with the clan. The main and oldest Glade of Cervi is located in the Eastern Woods beneath the roots of the East Spire. Once in the Glade, the initiate is fed leaves to pull them into a trance and are left to the will of the forest. It’s believed that those of the Eik-Saer who are visited by a doe or stag within the Glade of their initiation, will go on to do great things for the clan.
Ascension
The Ascension ceremony is elaborate and filled with an air of mystery. The ceremony for Senwarg is held at dusk, while the ceremony for Highwarg is held at dawn in the witching hours of the day, where the voice of Jord is felt to be strongest. Chosen Senwarg are crowned in small and delicate antlers, adorned with flowers, whilst a Highwarg will receive the same but a full rack told to be one that was shed by the first Cervi Stag of Elloor. After the ceremony, food and drink is distributed to the members of the clan who have come to watch the ascension and a nighttime feast full of dancing and merriment is held through the forest.
