Clan Origins
Home City: The Glade Tree in Varkellr
Like the Eldi-Stokkir, the Auona-Modr made their homes in the Glade Tree in Varkellr. The Auona-Modr have perhaps the strongest bond with the Eldi-Stokkir and members between these two clans often intermarry, though the secrets of the Auona-Modr are particularly hard to prise out. Auona-Modr tended to live in garden-filled settlements when not living in the Glade Tree or Ljosa.
The Auona-Modr were brought together by Eitrun, a Warg who felt a strong kinship with the plants and herbs of Fenrir and Jord’s creation. She found herself most at peace within the fens and vales of the forest amongst the plants and the wargs who originally went with her felt much the same. Eitrun’s devotion to Jord was almost fanatical in its vengeance and she believed that the life of even the smallest of creatures was of the same value as the life gifted to her by the gods. She believed that the eyes of animals still existed as souls within their skulls and so made it a habit to collect them, the smallest of them becoming necklaces and jewellery to protect her and her people - watching their backs for danger as they were out in the wilds collecting plants for their stores.
A Short History of Highwarg
Eitrun Mouse-Lord || Founding Highwarg of Auona-Modr was an odd and occasionally feared warg who led her people on the fringes of clan society. She was killed by an assassin whilst in her war-tree during the civil war.
Siofra the Honourable || Siofra came to power in the Waxing years of the civil war, ascending in 421A at the death of Eitrun. She remained Highwarg until she was killed during the Blood Years of the civil war, at the siege of the North Spire.
Talfryn the Selfless || Talfryn ascended to the role of Highwarg in 453A at the death of Siofra during the civil war’s Blood years, she ruled through them and the Waning years, ceded the Glade Tree to Gísla in the final battle of the civil war. She gave her son in marriage to Tieve of Myrkr-Auga’s son to unite the clans. She was later killed in a border skirmish in the Drekar Plains.
Uana || Current Highwarg of Auona-Modr, Ascended 671A at Talfryn’s death.

Clan Culture & Values
Every life has been sprung from the well of Jord, honour it.
Members of the Auona-Modr carry with them a mammalian or avian skull as a trinket and sign of kinship with other members, inspired by Eitrun’s own superstitious beliefs. Many of their clan traditions revolve around nature and an appreciation of the gods and most fabrics that are made from plants are considered superior to those made from fibres of creatures. Auona-Modr often find themselves in trades aligned with plants and animals - whether that be in life or in death.
- Secrecy: You are safest when others do not know your motivations
- Ritual: All things are gifted to us by the wills of Jord. It is imperative that we show respect for our gods in all things.
- Bravery: A heart that can say it goes forth without succumbing to fear is one worthy of Jord.
- Mischief: Brevity can be found in all things. Life is not serious and straightforward.

Clan Politics
Eik-Saer Clan
Status: Neutral
The Auona-Modr find the Eik-Saer clan to be pompous and lacking in brevity. They think too highly of themselves and have been at odds in past wars. While they might be in charge under Nekelloth, their decisions should be tempered.
Bjarkin-Kind Clan
Status: Neutral
The Bjarkin-Kind are considered the second in charge. Whilst they might consider themselves all-important and illustrious, the Auona-Modr tend to avoid their settlements as ideal living places and recognise the clan as one made up of lackeys of more powerful clans.
Forra-Yr Clan
Status: Neutral
The Auona-Modr consider the Forra-Yr to be particularly inoffensive, and having produced nothing to note since Havardr. While the clan’s dedication to knowledge keeping is exemplary, the Auona-Modr believe that perhaps that energy could be spent better out in the field.
Myrkr-Auga Clan
Status: Allies
The Myrkr-Auga, originally sworn enemies are now a Bloodclan, united by the marriage of past nobles. As such, their unity with the Auona-Modr is strong and marriages between the two clans are common. Together they undertake a mutual habit of secret-keeping, and deflect suspicion on and off of one another as it suits them.
Lae-Daudr Clan
Status: Enemies
The wargs of Lae-Daudr are considered by the Auona-Modr to be the least trustworthy of the lot. They have always been at odds with the clan and have given rise to some of the most vicious wargs of Woodwarg history.
Eldi-Stokkir Clan
Status: Allies
The Auonda-Modr think fondly of the Eldi-Stokkir. A strong and noble ally, if not the most talented the Eldi-Stokkir never seem to give up, no matter the cost and that, while not something the Auona-Modr understand, they can appreciate.

Clan Festivals & Events
Initiation
As a tribute to their first Highwarg, a Warg who wishes to join the Auona-Modr must correctly find and bring the Highwarg the Skullmaker, a toxic herb that is as deadly to find as it is a poison. While it is a test, the Auona-Modr are not unreasonable: hints are often left in the form of important reading and herbal guides, and in places where the Skullmaker has no chance of growing, they might suggest a trip to the apothecary is in order.
Ascension
The Senwarg ceremony is quiet and unfussed. The chosen Senwarg must simply pledge themselves to the will of the clan and to be the aid of the Highwarg at all times. To take the position of Highwarg, the ceremony is a little different. The selected warg enters a hollow and drinks a special tea prepared for them. All light is darkened, and the tea sends them into a hallucinogenic state, through which it is believed the creature of their talisman will test them and deem them worthy to lead the Auona-Modr. After completing this ritual, there will be a clanwide feast.
Tea Gatherings
An important part of Auona-Modr culture is the Tea Gatherings that occur in months of the brightest light and dimmest nights. Tea Gatherings are an appreciation of the herbs of the forest and Jord’s lifeforce. Tea Gatherings can also be amalgamated into special family celebrations and the Auona-Modr have many different coloured and embellished cups, kettles and teapots they use for special and regular occasions.
