Banking

Overview

Banking is an essential feature in Hvalla. Through the banking journal on DeviantArt, you can create and update your account, make transfers and purchases, redeem the loot your character earns in activities, and more.

All banking is done manually by our volunteer admin team, so we ask that members refrain from asking when a certain thread will be worked. Our team does their best to clear banking threads in a timely manner. However, it can take some time to process your request depending on the number of comments currently in the queue, and there are times where a comment may be intentionally skipped for an admin to ask for clarification or for special instructions.

If it has been over 24 hours since you posted, and the comments above AND below yours have been worked on and you believe your comment has been overlooked, you can open a support ticket to speak to a member of our team.

Understanding Currency Values

Currency in Hvalla is comprised of gold, silver, and copper. A coin will always be worth ten times the denomination below it and one tenth the denomination above it; i.e.: 100 Copper = 10 Silver = 1 Gold.

Currency earned in game can be used to purchase items from shops, such as armor, potions, and accessories.

Earning Currency

You can earn currency by completing art of your characters or participating in official group roleplays run by a Story Master. You can boost your currency earned by taking part in activities like crafting, exploration, or combat.

Accounts

Creating an Account

Accounts serve as a player's unique identification and are a mandatory feature to participate in Hvalla. They are used to track player and character progress throughout the game, from level status to inventory, titles earned, currency, and equipped items.

Before you can add a character to the gallery, you are required to make an account. You can do this by filling out the form in the link below and posting in the comment thread provided. Once your request is processed, you will receive a unique player ID number.

Updating an Existing Account

If you plan on switching accounts, changing your username, or adding/changing a secondary account, please use the "update an existing account" form provided in the link below.

All changes must be made from the current primary account. If you have lost access to your primary account for any reason, be sure to inform our admins and open a support ticket to get in contact with a member of our team.

Redeeming Items

Before exchanging your items for gold, you will need to check the price sheet to see how much an item can be redeemed for. Items that are being redeemed should be listed vertically in the form provided. The process of redeeming an item is irreversible. The price sheets are:

Use this journal to redeem your character’s rewards. Once you have filled out the appropriate form, the team will then apply the items and sales to your inventory.

Purchasing Items

Part of the fun of Hvalla is retail therapy! You can purchase all sorts of items in the shops to help you on your journey. There are two main points to keep in mind when spending your currency:

You must have the required currency in your inventory at the time a request for purchase is made.
You may only purchase items from shops you have access to.

Once you have made your selections, head to this journal to make your purchase(s). Once you have filled out the appropriate form, the team will then apply the items and sales to your inventory.
