Clan Grizzlehorn
of the icewarg
01
Clan Origins
Nearly as old as Clan Gravenrail, legend has it that Clan Grizzlehorn was founded by a master blacksmith who was so gifted, that even Fenrir himself sought armor from him. Grizzlehorn was able to prosper over the years as its family business boomed with the onslaught of war and the endless need for their products and services. Over time, they have become masters of their craft and produce the finest weapons, armor, leatherwork, and other gratuitous adornments for all races (though their current product lines have focused primarily on Icewarg customers after the city was closed off). Wargs the world over would seek out their products, which are always officially branded with their Clan’s insignia to help identify them from their competitors and counterfeiters. Icewarg of Grizzlehorn are typically adorned with flashy trinkets (i.e., “bling”) displayed via piercings, braided into their manes, or worn as traditional jewelry (necklaces, rings, etc.) that work to identify them and their level of mastery. To join this Clan, one must apprentice under a master crafter and produce something worthy of the Clan’s insignia.

Clan Culture & Values
Clan Grizzlehorn places emphasis on the art of creation and the art of the sale - they are the craftsmen of the Icewarg, and thus, they take great pride in the artistic process, and it is through that process that the clan finds its values. Diligence, to always be aware and careful of the effort one is putting into their work and towards the customer. Harmony, for without it, separate ingredients and parts do not make a whole, and sales cannot be made. Discipline, for it takes a great deal of it to hone and master one’s craft, and one’s speech. Patience, for much the same reason. Focus, because it is out of focus that art can be born and profit made. And finally, Mastery, the true mark of an artisan and the legacy of the Grizzlehorn name. One must embody these values to truly count themselves amongst this Clan of Niflheim.
This Clan is the backbone of Niflheim’s economy, and they know it. Not only is legendary craftsmanship considered a staple for Clan Grizzlehorn, but over the generations, the drive and passion for making coin has also become a staple as well. They pride themselves on great customer service as well as being the crafters of legendary pieces. Some might observe that there are the occasional generational rights within the Clan; many embrace the love and respect for coin, while the more traditional members of Clan Grizzlehorn frown upon it, believing that the Clan ought to focus more on the art of creation than anything else.

Clan Politics
Clan Bosry
Status: --
Similarly to Clan Gravenrail, Clan Grizzlehorn views Clan Bosry as a steady and fair customer. Being of service to those that keep their wares safe is of great pride to Clan Grizzlehorn. Therefore, Clan Grizzlehorn and Clan Bosry have a strong relationship.
Clan Emerstead
Status: --
Clan Grizzlehorn members rarely see the inside of the library as their skills are much more paws-on. Skills and knowledge are passed down by tradition and inheritance from Blacksmith to Blacksmith. so there is not much need to attend to the library for more knowledge. As such, Clan Emerstead and Clan Grizzlehorn members have a neutral view towards each other.
Clan Snowcolt
Status: --
Those in Clan Grizzlehorn don’t often need healing aid from Clan Snowcolt, so the relationship is neutral. Since Clan Snowcolt fresla also go out into the field, Grizzlehorn provides them weapons and armor as well, but not in as large of quality as Clan Gravenrail, Bosry, or Myrewing.
Clan Arshaw
Status: --
Clan Grizzehorn blacksmiths and crafters are rarely called to help in the upkeep of the temple for Clan Arshaw. When aid is asked, Clan Arshaw members do not engage more than what is necessary, leaving Clan Grizzlehorn unsure if Clan Arshaw views them well or not.
Clan Gravenrail
Status: --
Clan Grizzlehorn sees Clan Gravenrail as a top client and one they do their best to service with high quality goods. Clan Gravenrail has treated Clan Grizzlehorn fairly and with good prices, even after the closure of the border. Therefore, Clan Grizzlehorn does its best to keep relations strong with Clan Gravenrail.
Clan Myrewing
Status: --
Being another steady customer, Clan Grizzlehorn and Clan Myrewing happily work together. If anything though, the bond between Clan Grizzlehorn & Clan Myrewing may be stronger than that to Clan Gravenrail or Clan Bosry. Clan Myrewing is Clan Grizzlehorn’s main supplier. They provide materials for the blacksmiths of clan Grizzlehorn to craft their wares and Clan Grizzlehorn sells their talents and skills to take the supplies sold to them by Clan Myrewing to provide high quality armor and weapons for them and others to use. So their relationship to each other is key to the success or failure of the other.

Clan Festivals & Events
The Grizzlehorn Guildcraft Faire
Summer
For five days of the year, Clan Grizzlehorn hosts a mighty guild fair in Iringard, the peak of which is the summer solstice. Grizzlehorn craftsmen from all over Niflheim are invited to gather to show off and sell their wares and compete in various competitions. Warg from other Clans are invited and encouraged to shop amongst the guilds, but only Clan Grizzlehorn members compete in the competitions, which consist of glassblowing, leatherworking, blacksmithing, and various other artisan crafts. On the summer solstice, other Clan members are welcome to watch and observe the actual competitions, at the end of which, winners are crowned and a great feast on their behalf is held at the center of the fair. Even the King of the Icewarg is usually in attendance at the feast. It’s a light and boisterous time, and much of Clan Grizzlehorn spends most of the year preparing for it.

Cenhelm of Glan Grizzlehorn, Grandwarg - While not a craftsman by trade so much anymore, but once a talented jewelry maker, Cenhelm is known around Iringard for his charm and wit; an honest salesman, he promotes fair prices on both sides of the table and many regard him as the master of Niflheim’s economy. He seems to know what is happening everywhere, even in markets that Grizzlehorn isn’t directly involved in.
