Clan Bosry
of the icewarg
01
Clan Origins
Founded by a former member of Clan Gravenrail (Grandwarg Raflmir), Clan Bosry has become a localized extension of the military, though they specialize in law, internal forces, and upholding justice within the city of Iringard. They also own and operate Bosry Lawhouse & Prison. Shortly after Iringard was founded in 587 A, it became clear it required protection for its citizens and their growing businesses. Bosry guards are required to identify themselves by wearing a sash worn over the shoulder and across the chest that bears both the Clan’s colors and insignia. In order to become a member, one must complete half a year of service and pledge not only their lives, but the lives of their family, to Iringard and her safety.

Clan Culture & Values
Clan Bosry is synonymous with the law in Iringard. As such, Clan Bosry highly values those who seek to be righteous in their actions and bring order and protection to its denizens. This desire to be good comes from a sense of duty, which Bosry also believes is a necessary attribute to make good guardsmen. They believe they have a moral responsibility to defend the law and hold this sense of justice in high regard for if corruption seeps in, wherever it may sneak into, they must be the removers of it. Because if they fail, then the Icewarg could be destroyed from the inside out.
Since they are the upholders of the laws in Iringard, there is also an emphasis for those in Clan Bosry to exercise resilience. Sometimes, those on patrol have to chase down thieves, de-escalate intense scenarios, sleuth for clues on a case, or even face life and death situations. It’s a tough occupation being the enforcers of the Icewarg. Therefore, those in Clan Bosry must have the dedication to preserve the law and see it through to the bitter end.
As mentioned at the beginning, Clan Bosry are the Icewarg’s enforcers and law holders. Many clan members are sent to guard wares, stalls, priceless treasures, and to enforce laws that protect all Iringardians. Those in Clan Bosry also often work in tandem with Clan Gravenrail, so it is not uncommon to see Vaskyr and Bosry Guardsmen working together within Iringard in various capacities.

Clan Politics
Clan Gravenrail
Status: Allies
Clan Bosry does its best to work with Clan Gravenrail and make sure that peace and justice is upheld. However, with the recent turmoil surrounding Clan Gravenrail and the royalty, it’s starting to get harder to keep it amongst the Icewarg. The political unrest has caused some strain on Clan Bosry. But regardless, Clan Bosry stands stalwart at Gravenrail’s side.
Clan Emerstead
Status: Neutral-ally
Both clans are positive neutral in their regards towards one another. Clan Bosry helps keep their clan and the library safe from harm. And Clan Emerstead provides Bosry clan members an opportunity to come and study law, ethics, and Icewarg historical cases at their library.
Clan Snowcolt
Status: Allies
Similarly to Clan Graverail, Clan Bosry has a large force that needs healing as they go about keeping Iringard safe from the inside. Therefore, Clan Snowcolt provides healers for the force that keeps them safe at home.
Clan Arshaw
Status: Neutral
Neither clan has much against or for the other. Clan Bosry protects the Temple of Fenrir and makes sure that Clan Arshaw’s worship and business are undisturbed. In addition to protective services, Clan Bosry orders uniforms for their members as requested for the clan guards from Clan Arshaw.
Clan Grizzlehorn
Status: Allies
Clan Bosry is a big client of Clan Grizzlehorn, just like Clan Gravenrail. Clan Bosry makes sure that Clan Grizzlehorn’s wares are kept safe from thieves and unpaying customers, while Clan Grizzlehorn provides the law enforcement their weapons and armor.
Clan Myrewing
Status: Enemies
Given the nature of being a clan of mostly monster hunters who spend more time outside than in, Clan Bosry & Clan Myrewing clan members often butt heads. Clan Bosry tends to lean more on the “letter of the law” side of justice and Clan Myrewing leans in the opposite direction as “the spirit of the law.” Therefore, tensions are often high in interactions between clan members, and they commonly clash.

Clan Festivals & Events
Raflmir's Honor (Winter)
In honor of Clan Bosry’s founder and to help unite clanswargs with each other, Clan Bosry puts on a series of physical and mental tests to see who has the honor of bearing the strength as Bosry’s finest. Many Icewargs compete in agility training, combat, and battle of wits to refine their craft and keep Iringard and her citizens safe. The tests are brutal and it is not for the faint of heart.
Origin of Law (Summer)
The Lawspeaker and his kin, Clan Bosry, host a gathering of all Grandwargs to reevaluate laws and to create new ones as needed. This gathering tends to take several weeks as debates and negotiations are made to ensure the laws are continuing to serve Iringard’s people. During this time, Clan Bosry is cleaning their records and ensuring all of their information is kept to date.
The Icewarg's Pardon (Summer)
Once a year, Clan Bosry hosts an event where the public are able to grant a single pardon to a prisoner in Bosry’s control. Clan Bosry presents three individuals who the Icewarg can see fit to pardon them of their crime and to resume life back in society. The individuals chosen are usually those who have had a recommendation of good behavior, but despite the change for the better, still have a vast amount of debt or labor to pay still.
